Funeraria Del Angel Fresno traces its origins to 1919, making it one of the first funeral and cremation providers in the Fresno area. The business began as Powell Undertaking Company at 1459 Van Ness Ave. before relocating to its current location at the corner of North Broadway Street and Belmont Avenue, housed in a distinctive Mission Revival-style building.
Warren C. Tinkler, a Kansas native who began his funeral service career in 1925, became a prominent figure in California's funeral industry, serving as president of both the Fresno County Funeral Directors Association and the California Funeral Directors Association. The Copner family purchased the funeral home in 1965 and operated it until 1997.
Today, the location operates as part of the Dignity Memorial network, offering families local expertise combined with national resources. The facility serves Central Valley families from Parkwood to Fowler and beyond, with a team available 24 hours a day.
