Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home has operated continuously from its 1306 N Pines Road location since 1955, when the original Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home—founded in 1910 by John B. The facility was constructed during the Korean War era with dual-purpose design: an elegant funeral home that could also function as an air raid shelter and triage hospital if needed.

In 1999, the funeral home joined the Dignity Memorial network while maintaining its local operation.
