Laurel Land Funeral Home and Laurel Land Memorial Park occupy a combined 300-acre campus in South Dallas, just east of I-35 and the Redbird community. The funeral home, built in 1964, sits directly on the cemetery groundsâa configuration that allows families to arrange both funeral and cemetery services in one location without third-party transfers.
The property spans 160 developed acres with winding walkways, water features, and landscaped gardens, plus 140 undeveloped acres reserved for future expansion. The cemetery holds particular cultural significance as the final resting place of blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan, whose grave draws regular visitors. Since 2014, the operation has been part of the Dignity Memorial network.
