Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home traces its origins to May 1910, when Hugh M. and Mary Moore opened Moore Funeral Home in downtown Arlington at the corner of Main and Mesquite Streets. The business operated from the back of E.E. Smith Furniture and House Furnishings before expanding across three generations of the Moore family.
The current Bowen Road location opened in September 1996 at the corner of Bowen Road and Pleasant Ridge near I-20, specifically to serve southeast Tarrant County including Mansfield and Kennedale. The facility sits near Moore Memorial Gardens and the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Today the funeral home operates as part of the Dignity Memorial network while maintaining its local operational identity.
