Luna Family Funeral Home operates from a custom-designed facility at 1635 New York Avenue in Arlington, Texas—built from "ground zero" by founder Lillyanna Ime Barrientos to fit community needs. The funeral home opened under her leadership as a first-generation, woman-owned business, named in honor of her late mother, Maria Anna Luna Barrientos.
Barrientos entered funeral service in 2017 and earned her Associate of Applied Science and Arts degree from Dallas Institute of Funeral Service on September 27, 2019. A graduate of Sam Houston High School's class of 2016, she holds a Texas funeral director license. The facility she constructed reflects her personal vision rather than an adapted existing space.
