Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens occupies a 13,000+ square foot facility renovated in 2016, positioned directly adjacent to its sister cemetery property in Bartlett, Tennessee. The funeral home and cemetery operate as integrated locations, allowing families to arrange services and select permanent memorialization without leaving the grounds. The facility serves Shelby County communities including Arlington, Eads, and East Memphis.
The property traces its origins to 1955, when Arch C. Long developed what was then Memory Hill Gardens on former cotton farmland outside Memphis. The cemetery joined the Dignity Memorial network in 1992, and Memphis Funeral Home was constructed on the southwest corner of the property in 1995. The combined operation assumed its current name in 2008. The cemetery has since evolved into a landscaped park-like setting that draws local residents for meditation and evening walks, with occasional wildlife including white-tail deer.
