Riemann Family Funeral Homes traces its roots to 1920, when Ernest Theodore Riemann, Sr. and his wife Ruth purchased half interest in the Wilder Funeral Home in downtown Gulfport—the original handwritten buy/sell agreement from 1921 remains in their possession today. The family had migrated from Michigan after a vacation visit to the Golden Gulf Coast convinced them to relocate their funeral business southward by train.
The second generation, Robert "Bob" M. Riemann, expanded the business significantly during the 1950s through 1980s while serving in the U.S. Army at Camp Shelby during World War II. Today, third-generation brothers David and Mike Riemann remain active in the business alongside fourth-generation members Chad Riemann (since 1995) and Addison Riemann (since 2011). The company now operates six locations across the Coast: Gulfport, West Jackson County, Pass Christian, Biloxi, Long Beach, and Bay Waveland.

We have had the opportunity to use Riemann's Family Funeral Home twice in my time of grief. The staff has become like extended family by sharing in our grief. We could not ask for any better service.
We met with our funeral support personnel and they went over everything that we needed know. They were very patient and answered all questions we had. We were not prepared for our sudden loss of our mom. I would recommend them for all of your funeral arrangements.
