The purpose-built funeral home opened in 1990 and features a modern design with flexible event spaces. The main chapel accommodates up to 240 guests and can be configured for religious services or personalized celebrations. A private family room with dedicated entrance allows families to gather separately from arriving guests. The facility includes a large reception area with catering kitchen and bar service capabilities. A coffee lounge provides informal gathering space. The building is designed as a "Celebration of Life center" with modern audio/visual infrastructure for video tributes and livestreaming.
The funeral home emphasizes flexibility in service location and format, accommodating religious ceremonies in their chapel as well as secular celebrations of life. Their remote arrangement capabilities allow families to complete planning without visiting the facility.
Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home traces its origins to 1932, when A.J. Nicoletti partnered with Fred Cippa to establish Cippa & Nicoletti Funeral Home at 27th and O Street. The current East Sacramento facility at 5401 Folsom Boulevard opened March 1, 1990, after Mr. Nicoletti purchased property and constructed a purpose-built funeral home. In 1997, the business merged with Miller, Skelton and Herberger Funeral Home (formerly Chapel of the Valley), creating the present-day operation.
Today, the funeral home operates as part of the Dignity Memorial network while maintaining its local identity and community connections. The facility serves Sacramento families from a location near the intersection of Folsom Boulevard and 54th Street, with proximity to major thoroughfares and residential neighborhoods.
The business emphasizes its reputation for "elegance, dignity and class" and positions itself as a full-service provider capable of handling services at their chapel, churches, parks, or other locations of the family's choosing.

They were very helpful and thoughtful. No pressure to purchase anything. Very accommodating after everything was completed.
