Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home and Rosewood Memorial Park have operated as sister locations in Virginia Beach since 1954, when the cemetery first opened on former farmland. The funeral home was built on cemetery grounds in 1995—a deliberate integration that allows families to coordinate all arrangements in one place. Unlike traditional dark-paneled funeral homes, the facility was designed bright and airy, with pew-style seating for approximately 250 guests, stained glass windows, and dual flat-screen TVs for tribute videos.
The 55-acre memorial park features 16 gardens, 8 mausoleums, and a dedicated cremation garden, with 18 undeveloped acres remaining for future expansion. Three original gardens—Garden of Prophets, Garden of the Last Supper, and Garden of the Good Shepherd—are marked by white Italian marble monuments. The cemetery is considered one of the finest in the Tidewater region, with crepe myrtle, cherry, and magnolia trees throughout.
The operation serves Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Hampton Roads, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Newport News, and Portsmouth from its central location at 601 North Witchduck Road.
