A dedicated fellowship room accommodates catered receptions. The cemetery spans approximately 35 acres in a park-like setting with mature landscaping. Two community mausoleums provide bright indoor gathering spaces for small to medium groups. Future expansion plans include 10 built-to-suit lots, a third community mausoleum, and an upright monument section. The property offers outdoor event venues for personalized celebrations.

Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park traces its lineage to the late 1800s, when Samuel E. Rosengren opened a downtown funeral home on Congress Street. Charles B. Cook acquired the business in 1920, establishing an ornate three-story facility between the Texas Capitol and Governor's Mansion that became the city's largest funeral and ambulance provider for over 50 years.
The current Oak Hill location emerged in two phases: the cemetery opened as a standalone memorial park in 1953, with the funeral home constructed on-site around 1984. Forest Oaks joined the Cook-Walden family in 1992, the same year the operation became part of the Dignity Memorial network. Today the combined funeral home and cemetery serve approximately 265 families annually from Travis and Hays counties.
