The 2017-renovated funeral home features multiple distinct gathering spaces designed for different atmospheres and group sizes. Beyond the main Dignity Hall chapel, families can select venues ranging from traditional to contemporary aesthetics. The property includes a coffee lounge and on-site floral shop for visitor convenience. The 133-acre cemetery offers park-like rolling hills with abundant shade from large trees, featuring both flat bronze markers (predominant on both north and south sides) and upright sections. Notable cemetery features include Gazebo Estates with central gazebo, Cross Garden, Cremation Gardens, Garden of the Grand Tour, and Last Supper Private Estates Garden with fountain area.
The facility emphasizes personalized memorialization, offering everything from motorcycle displays in the chapel to winery venues and balloon releases. Their custody-of-care program cross-checks identification at every step, using only Dignity Memorial-owned or partner crematories.
Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home and Woodlawn Memorial Park occupy a 133-acre property in Nashville's Berry Hill neighborhood, near Green Hills. The cemetery traces its origins to the early 1900s when Raymond Ligon established it on family-owned farmland, introducing an unusual concept for the era: ground-level memorialization instead of traditional upright markers. The funeral home underwent extensive renovation in 2017, emerging with plush contemporary furniture, gray tones, hardwood-style tile flooring, and modern art throughout.
The property spans both sides of Thompson Lane, divided into north and south sections. The north side contains the funeral home and historic elements dating to the Civil War era, including a natural spring used for water during the war, two historic cabins (one built on the Harding Farm in the 1800s), and the Spring House that stored water for Civil War hospital camps. The south side represents the older cemetery section, marked by a bell tower that chimes hourly.
As a Dignity Memorial network provider, the facility serves families across eleven counties including Belle Meade, Brentwood, Williamson County, and Rutherford County, with staff fluent in Spanish and French.
