Marlan Gary Funeral Home, The Chapel of Peace, traces its origins to 2007 when founder Marlan James Gary opened the first location at 2500 Cleveland Avenue in Columbus. A 1992 graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and Certified Funeral Service Practitioner, Gary built the business through strategic expansion: the East Chapel at 5456 E. Livingston Avenue opened in 2016, followed by the 2021 acquisition of Porter Qualls Funeral Home (founded by Gary's uncle David Gary) and the 2023 purchase of a Springfield location.
