The location became part of The Moore Family Funeral Homes in April 2021 when David Moore acquired it from Eric and Cathy Bacher, who were retiring after building the Bacher Funeral Home's reputation in the community.
David Moore brings over three decades of funeral service experience to the location. He began his career in 1985 at Hennessy-Bagnoli Funeral Home as a high school student in Akron's DCT program, later graduating from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1993. After managing the North Hill location from 2002 and purchasing it in 2013, Moore expanded by acquiring the Bacher locations to continue their family-operated tradition.
The Manchester Road facility operates alongside the Norton location at 3250 Greenwich Road, with both retaining the Bacher-Moore name to honor the original founders while integrating into Moore's family-owned network.
