Kriegshauser Mortuary-West Chapel traces its roots to 1891, when Herman Kriegshauser founded a funeral service business in St. Louis with his son George. The West Chapel location opened in 1959 in Olivette, Missouri, to serve central and western St. Louis County families. Today, the mortuary remains under family direction with fifth-generation funeral directors George G. Kriegshauser and Robert E. Kriegshauser actively serving families alongside managers Edward A.
