A.H. Peters Funeral Home traces its origins to 1917, when Arthur and Alma Peters established what would become a multi-generational funeral service legacy. The Warren location at 32000 Schoenherr Road opened in 1974 and sits at the corner of Schoenherr and Masonic Boulevard, approximately 30 minutes from downtown Detroit with convenient access from I-75N and I-696E.
The facility presents a traditional exterior with white pillars and manicured grounds, while interior renovations from 2008 to 2014 modernized the spaces. A significant expansion came in 1989 with the addition of an expansive formal chapel. The building also features a porte-cochère added during the 2008-2014 renovation period.
Currently operated by David Peters, grandson of the founders, A.H. Peters Funeral Home has received the National Funeral Directors Association's "Pursuit of Excellence" award annually since 2003. In 2019, the Warren location earned recognition from the Warren Beautification Commission for grounds and facility preservation.
