Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes traces its roots to 1926, when Thomas R. Palmer purchased a part interest in the O'Donnell Funeral Home on North Washington Street. The firm became Palmer Bush Funeral Home in 1939 when Lloyd H. Bush acquired the remaining interest. Ownership has since passed through the Bush family to Allen and Susan Jensen, and now continues with John Vatter and Sarah Jensen-Vatter.
The Lansing Chapel at 520 E. Mt. Hope Ave. stands as the original location and cornerstone of the operation.
