Morse-Bayliss Funeral Home traces its origins to 1939, when Robert Morse established Morse Funeral Home in Lowell. The business grew through successive family leadership: Walter "Wally" Bayliss, Jr. joined in 1959, purchased the funeral home from Morse, and operated it with his wife Ingrid for over 30 years until his death in 2016. Frederick W. Healy, a fourth-generation funeral director with 45+ years of experience, acquired the business in 2009 after owning J.A. Healy Sons Funeral Home in Westford. In January 2023, Healy partnered with James "Jim" Dolan II to pool resources, with Dolan now owning and operating the funeral home. The fifth generation entered in July 2020 when Andrew Dolan, Jim's son, became a licensed funeral director after completing degrees at Commonwealth Institute of Houston and UMass Amherst Isenberg School of Business.
Located in Lowell's Highlands neighborhood at 122 Princeton Boulevard, the facility sits near Routes 110, 3, 3A and 495—approximately two miles from the Drum Hill Rotary. The funeral home distinguishes itself through sustained focus on Greater Lowell's diverse religious, ethnic, and philosophical communities, a commitment dating to its founding.
