Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home

Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home opened in 2001 when Kevin Michael Brennan fulfilled his lifelong dream of returning the Brennan name to funeral service in Topeka. Located at 2801 SW Urish Road, the funeral home honors Kevin's grandparents, Matthew and Mary Ellen Brennan, and his father's memory. Kevin, a lifelong Topekan and Hayden High School graduate, brought 30 years of Southwestern Bell service to his second career in funeral service before his death from lung cancer in 2012.

Following Kevin's passing, his wife Mary H. Brennan chose to continue the business as co-founder and owner, working alongside their daughter Jennifer Brennan Emmert. The family describes their location as "Up on the hill where the angels are," a phrase that has led families they serve to call them the "Angels on the Hill." The funeral home remains the only Brennan-owned funeral operation in Topeka.

The business maintains its family character with two of Kevin and Mary's children actively involved: Jennifer Brennan Emmert works alongside her mother, and Patrick L. Brennan serves as Secretary/Treasurer after joining full-time in April 2012.
