D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Covington Knolls opened in 1999 to serve Fort Wayne's growing southwest side, positioned conveniently off I-69 and Jefferson Boulevard. The facility represents the newest addition to a network that traces its origins to 1925, when the McComb family established what would become northeast Indiana's leading funeral service provider.
The Covington Knolls location operates as one of five Fort Wayne-area facilities under the D.O. McComb & Sons brand, which joined the Dignity Memorial network in 2016. The single-story, open-concept building was designed for accessibility and flow, with multiple chapels, dedicated hospitality spaces, and a children's lounge.
As the organization marks its centennial in 2025, the Covington Knolls facility carries forward the operational scale of a large pre-planning firm while maintaining the neighborhood-specific positioning that prompted its original development.

D.O. Mccomb and Sons was very helpful in planning my father’s funeral. Norma is the best and was very compassionate and understanding of our needs. We had our celebration of life at the funeral home with Pastor Doug officiating. He did a great job.
