Hardage-Giddens Riverside Funeral Home and Riverside Memorial Park occupy a combined facility on Normandy Boulevard, just off I-295 near downtown Jacksonville. The cemetery traces its origins to 1931, when Marion Permenter Sr. founded Riverside Memorial Park and operated it until his death in 1956. His son continued management until 1984. The funeral home opened as Town and Country Funeral Home in May 1986, holding its first service that spring, and joined the Dignity Memorial network in 1987. Today the property encompasses more than 100 acres of landscaped grounds with a large central fountain, serving families from across Northeast Florida with both immediate-need and pre-planned arrangements.
