Bosak Funeral Home & Cremation traces its roots to 1919, when the business was founded by the great-grandfather of current co-owner Gerald R. Bosak Jr. The funeral home has remained continuously family-operated across four generations, making it one of Stamford's longest-serving independent funeral providers. Located on Shippan Avenue, the business has evolved from its early 20th-century origins while maintaining family leadership.

Gerald R. Bosak Jr. joined the family business in 2001 as a funeral director after completing his BA in Political History at Curry College with a counseling focus, followed by a Master's in Education from Cambridge College. He is currently completing an MBA at Sacred Heart University's John F. Welch School of Business. His dual background in mental health counseling and business administration shapes the funeral home's approach to family support and community engagement.

Beyond funeral services, Bosak has developed structured community programs including an outreach initiative connecting local organizations with family and preplanning guidance, and the Frank J. Bosak Learning Academy, Inc.—a 501(c)(3) founded in 2001 that promotes literacy, self-sufficiency, and multicultural integration.
