Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary stands as one of Riverside's longest-serving funeral establishments, with origins dating to 1929 when minister John Acheson and funeral director Wilber "Bill" R. Graham opened their first location at 4th and Main streets. The current Magnolia Avenue facility opened in 1958 as Garden of Prayer Mortuary, with the two operations merging in 1973. When the city purchased the downtown location for what became the Convention Center at Rain Cross Square, the business consolidated at the Magnolia Avenue address where it operates today. The facility now serves as a Dignity Memorial provider, offering families a spacious chapel and dedicated reception space under one roof.
