Dimond & Shannon Mortuary traces its roots to the 1940s when Ben Honold established Honold Brothers' Mortuary, later passing the business to his son George. The name changed to Mettler Family Mortuary in the 1960s before the city claimed the downtown property for redevelopment in 1979, forcing a relocation to the current Chapman Avenue address. Under Don Dimond's leadership, the Dimond family acquired the business before it joined the Dignity Memorial network in the late 2000s. The mortuary has maintained continuous Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce membership since 1938.
