Services
The cemetery occupies a historic site along W. Broadway Road with multiple burial sections organized alphabetically. The original sections (A-D) are no longer open to new sales, indicating mature, established grounds. The facility utilizes flood irrigation from the Roosevelt Irrigation District, with staff attempting monthly watering cycles subject to canal delivery schedules and system conditions.
The cemetery focuses on providing quality, compassionate, and affordable burial services exclusively to Buckeye residents and their families.
The Louis B. Hazelton Memorial Cemetery has served the Buckeye community since 1938, when it was established by the American Legion Hazelton-Butler Post 53. Named for the first young man from Buckeye killed in World War I, the cemetery transferred to municipal operation in 1947 and remains under the city of Buckeye's Community Services Department today.
Located at 23100 W. Broadway Road, the cemetery enforces a strict residency requirement: plot purchasers must either be city of Buckeye residents or have immediate family members already interred there. Proof of residency is required at purchase. The cemetery is currently reaching capacity in its original sections, with plots in sections A through D no longer available to the general public.
