During his 25-year career at McKesson-Robbins Wholesale Drugs, Bushelon collected equipment for his future funeral home, storing stretchers, flower stands, and casket biers in his mother's garage.
Before securing zoning approval, the Bushelon family canvassed the neighborhood door-to-door to gauge community support. What began as a small white frame house now occupies a full city block.
